Select the Right Carpenter
Carpenters are highly skilled contractors who work primarily with wood. These Glendale AZ tradesmen are usually licensed and offer a wide range of services related to carpentry and woodworking. Depending on the job, you may need a general carpenter or a finish carpenter. A general carpenter is a journeyman who is qualified to complete the majority of residential carpentry work. A finish carpenter however does the more intricate work, which may include cabinet and furniture making, joinery, and other more refined woodworking projects. Why Hire a Professional Carpenter
“Carpentry” is a profession and a trade that is regulated and licensed by each State. It is generally not the type of work that you want to trust to someone who is a general handyman or a “Mister Fixit”. So when your porch needs mending or your staircase needs replacing, it is very important to enlist the services of a licensed local carpenter in Glendale AZ. Following are just a few of the advantages of hiring a skilled carpenter in your area instead of an unlicensed handyman.
- Carpenters can get the job done fast and to your satisfaction. When you need a new deck built or a new addition to your home, you want someone who will begin the project promptly and complete the job professionally and on time. You also want someone who will guarantee their work and is licensed and insured for your protection.
- Carpenters have the experience and skill to handle any job. When it comes to woodworking, a local Glendale AZ carpenter has the ability to tackle any job. You don’t want a handyman who will be building a garage for the first time on your home, or a layman who doesn’t know the first thing about installing cabinets. Carpenters work as apprentices until they learn all of the skills required through experience to command the title of a Professional Carpenter.
- Carpenters keep up to date on the latest trends in their profession. As licensed professionals, carpenters keep abreast of the latest developments in their trade. They take pride in their work and continually stay current on new tools and equipment as well as advanced techniques in carpentry. This guarantees that you will receive the most up to date service available when you hire a certified Glendale AZ carpenter.
- Carpenters develop long term relationships with their customers. It may seem like an intangible benefit, but once you find a professional licensed carpenter that you trust, it only takes one phone call to address all of your carpentry needs. You will be in the company’s system for contact information as well as any previous services performed, and you will receive priority treatment as a valued customer. No need to find someone new the next time a stair railing needs replacement or a door needs to be framed and hung. And since you are in their data base you will receive any special promotions or incentives whenever they are made available to their Glendale AZ customers.
Need a Carpenter in Glendale Arizona?
If you live in Glendale AZ and are in need of affordable carpentry services, following is some interesting and perhaps useful information about your hometown.
Glendale, Arizona
Glendale /ˈɡlɛndeɪl/ is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, located about nine miles (14 km) northwest from Downtown Phoenix. According to the 2010 census, the population of the city is 226,721.[3]
In the late 1800s what is now known as Glendale, Arizona, was all desert. William John Murphy, a native of New Hartford, New York, who resided in the town of Flagstaff in what was then known as the territory of Arizona, was in charge of building a 40-mile-long (64 km) Arizona Canal from Granite Reef to New River for the Arizona Canal Company. In 1885, he completed the canal, which would bring water to the desert land.[5] Murphy was deep in debt, since he had agreed to be paid in Arizona Canal Company stock and bonds and land instead of cash.[6]
In 1887, Murphy formed the Arizona Improvement Company. His objective was to sell the land and water rights south of the canal. Murphy had to raise capital from out of state sources in order to meet payroll and construction expenses.[6] Murphy decided to refer to this land as "Glendale". In order to develop and interest potential investors and settlers in this new town, Murphy decided to provide a better way of access from Phoenix to Glendale and ending in the town of Peoria by building an 18-mile-long (29 km) diagonal road which he named Grand Avenue.
